Great Full Friday

I've fallen off the "Great Full Friday" wagon and I'm disappointed in myself for it but I'm climbing back on! So many things to be thankful for.

This weekend we don't have any big plans which is nice. Last weekend was quite busy and next weekend will be full of friends and photography. So these few days will be a welcomed break. I think the hubs and I are going to watch a few movies and I want to work on organizing my office closet. What are your weekend plans? Any movie recommendations?

This week I am grateful for:
  • my new camera
  • Souvenir Foto School, Miss B. has inspired me to shoot more for myself: something I often fail to do.
  • Magnolia Bakery purchasing rights to some of my images for their website. I'm so incredibly proud to see my work on their new site and to be a part of such a landmark's growth!
  • a stack of new magazines I've been waiting to delve into.
What's made  your week great and full?

    Souvenir Foto

I signed up for Souvenir Foto hosted by Miss B. It has been really fun thus far and it is encouraging me to shoot more and get more creative. My photos are being uploaded to my flickr stream if you guys want to follow along (and leave your critiques). I'm thinking of adding a few shots to my shop. Any thoughts?

    Summer in a Snapshot

This photo so gloriously speaks summer to me. Can you tell I'm dreaming of picnics on the beach today? Oh I can't wait to visit the sea soon...

Aren't the ladies' swimsuits fantastic?! The good old days were so chic!

Flickr Find: Kate Spade New York

I'm loving the Kate Spade New York Flickr photostream. The simple iphone shots they've updated so far as just lovely...a perfect visual pick me up for a Monday morning. The folks at KSNY are such a stylish group!

    Cotton Candy

Ever since I went on a little photo safari at our local carnival a couple months back I can't seem to get cotton candy out of my head. And I don't even really love the stuff. I think I just love the look of it and the nostalgia + whimsy it symbolizes.  I added a couple new prints to my shop, themed around the spun sugar.

Want more cotton candy goodness? You've got it! I've compiled a little vignette of some of my favorite fluffy candy inspired treats. Enjoy!

    Hiding from Monday

Sometimes I wish I could just hide away from Monday and enjoy the weekend a bit more. Aren't weekends the best?! Hiding away would be even more fun in these billowy tents and fantastic wonderlands.

    Happy Monday!

    Great Full Friday

So here is the first Great Full Friday of the new year. It has been a cold week here, and not just by Louisiana standards. My husband has been enjoying his Snuggie that he didn't ask for but was gifted at Christmas. Sometimes infomercial products aren't so bad right?

    This week I'm grateful for:

    --my favorite quilt
    --yummy fruit
    --clean clothes
    --inspiration

What made your week great and full?

    Merry Kitschmas

I love the Christmas set from boopsie daisy on flickr. I'm not sure if is the colors, the fun ornaments or the fact that it is called "Merry Kitschmas" but this group of photos makes me happy!

    Light and Airy: Ann Inghardt

Each and every photo in Anna Inghardt's flickr photostream is lovely. The use of very limited color avoids being stark but instead is stunning. The photos are light and airy and exude a sense of calm. Take a walk in her white wonderland.

    Polaroid Picnic

Doesn't this look like an amazing spot to have lunch on a fall afternoon? The sun shining through the tree branches is so pretty!

    Pumpkins and Porches

After yesterday's post, I was inspired to find more pretty porches. I found a plethora of photos on flickr that prove even if you aren't Martha you can still have a lovely porch. Here are some of my fall favorites:

    Sweden Swoon

My mom's family is from Sweden and I really hope to one day travel there. Until then, these photos from Chelsea Fuss of Frolic! (who is living in Sweden at the moment) are holding me over. The colors are gorgeous and the countryside seems just amazing. Take virtual vacation this Monday with me...

    Office Inspiration

My hubby is building built in shelves for our office and is about half way done. The walls are painted, and curtains are ready to be hung. We are making progress! Don't worry I'll post pics when we are done. For now here is some office inspiration. As a fellow photographer I find Nancy's work spaceto be a great place to work on her craft. Do you guys have a home office-where do you work on your projects?
