Ballet Inspired: Act 1

For 16 years of my life, dancing filled a huge part of it-- several days a week I would head to the studio and pirouette about. No genre of dance made me feel more elegant or ladylike than ballet of course. With these days behind me, I now love ballet inspired fashions for their femininity and ability to take me back to days as a ballerina (of sorts)

I've put together a few posts on lovely ballet inspired clothing that you can wear without dedicating your days to barre practice. Please enjoy Act 1 and check back tomorrow after intermission.

  2. I love ballet...it will always be a part of me. Even though I didn't get to become the ballerina I wanted to be...wearing clothes inspired by ballet can remind me of what a beautiful art form it is. How long did you take lessons for and why did you stop? Thanks for a great post.

  3. Heather that is so neat to have a ballerina in the family!

Meg, I took lessons for 16 years. I started at the ripe age of 2 years old and continued through high school graduation. I knew I wasn't ballerina material and that my career would be in other artistic endeavors so I left my dancing days behind. But like you it will always be a part of me!

    Gratefully yours,

  4. I was never a dancer, much to my chagrin, but I love ballet-inspired wear. So pretty and feminine, yet comfortable.
