I'm too old to participate now but I still find myself reading more during the summer. Nothing goes better with the dog days of summer than the crashing waves, a beach chair and a stack of books. I've put together my very own Summer Reading List (which is really just the books I plan to read before the summer is over:
- The Art Of Dancing In The Rain: A Novel
- Bringing Home The Birkin: My Life in Hot Pursuit of the World's Most Coveted Handbag
- The Help
- Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace One School At a Time
- The School Of Essential Ingredients
I'm a super fast reader so I will probably read even more. Any recommendations? What are you reading this summer?

You're going to love The Help! I was reluctant to read it and had trouble with about the first 50 pages (adjusting to the dialect) but after that I couldn't put it down.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I loved The Help! This summer I am planning on reading The Happiness Project and Water for Elephants. Let us know how your books turn out!
ReplyDeleteI was a book worm as a kid too. I used to take home stacks of books. The Help is on my list too! I've heard it's great
ReplyDeleteOoooh Stacy, I forgot about The Happiness Project. I have that one on its way to me now, it is definitely on the list. I read Water for Elephants a little over a month ago. I LOVED IT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm reading A Tree Grows In Brooklyn right now and LOVING it! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI loved the book "Bringing Home the Birkin" -- so witty and funny :) The Help & Three Cups of Tea are also on my reading list! Happy reading & enjoy your summer!
