Yellow and Grey
It is not a new color combo but it sure is appealing to me all of sudden. I think it has something to do with this. The unexpected pairing of an often deemed "dreary" color and the most cheery of hues is the perfect yin and yang of the decor world.

ReplyDeleteIm also in love with the combo even though I used to really hate yellow. Its been haunting me for about a year now. So glad I went with it for my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence, I was just telling my guy that I think yellow and gray could make a pretty palette for designing our apt.
ReplyDeleteWhen you first said yellow and gray, my gut said "ew." But after looking at these pictures, they work well... not in the tones I was originally picturing though! I like the muted gray with the paler yellow. Very calming, and like you say, yin and yang.
ReplyDeleteYellow has been my color of choice so far in 2010. I can't stop wearing it. (Yellow corduroys, shoes, purse, shirts...although never together, just as an accent!) And the funny thing is I've never even really liked the color before. This grey and yellow combination just deepens my new-found love for yellow! All these examples are beautiful.
