Brush Beauties

I broke out my watercolors a bit this weekend...had the urge and I surely hadn't touched them in a while. I am quite the amateur in this medium and hope to one day be better. So in honor of my activity I thought I'd share these works with you.

There's something beautiful about used paint brushes. Perhaps it is knowing they created and inspired...

I love this painting of paint brushes. So lovely to turn the seemingly mundane into art!
Finally, check out this apron (worn by talented artist Kelly Rae)! I've always kept my palettes full of paint because they are like little works of spontaneous art themselves. This apron evokes that same feeling.

Oh and I wanted to share a painting I completed and shipped off to a very special client, my blogging friend, Cyndi. Here are some photos I took of the work, visit her blog for more. Oh yea, and contact me if you are interested in a custom painting of your own!

  2. We hung it yesterday and it looks perfect! The colors are so cheery that I can't help but smile each time I see it. Thank you again for creating this masterpiece for us! I never in a million years would have thought we could have a custom piece done for such an incredible price :-) You are a lifesaver and I'm so "greatfull" for you!

  4. I agree, when I used to paint when I was younger I always loved the way my palette looked when I was finished :)
