Great Full Giveaway: Orange Beautiful

I've been a fan of Orange Beautiful for so long and once I joined the blogosphere and "met" Emily I became a bonafide groupie. She made me smile twice in the last week. First I received a lovely package in the mail with several neat goodies including the Do Something About It booklet I'd been lusting over. It is so fun to get little works of art in the mail. The booklet (and everything else she sent) is so darned cute it is going to take a few days for me to break it in.

My second smile came when Emily said she'd like to host a giveaway for you, my dear readers. And what's up for grabs is something I know you'll like and use: calendar anyone? Oh did I say calendar--I meant calendarS! That's right two lucky entrants will each receive one of Orange Beautiful's newly released Perpetual Calendars. I love the design of these modern calendars that feature varying typefaces. You can even pick from tan, red, yellow or blue to fit your taste. Believe me they are chic enough that you'll love to showcase one on your desk for years to come.

So how do you get your hands on a free calendar? Here are the details:
--Leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite month is and why.
--Be sure to do so by November 5, 2009 at midnight CST.
--One entry per person please.
--Anonymous entries will be disqualified.
--Be sure to leave your email info so I can find you if you won.
--Two winners will be announced on November 6th.

So what are you waiting for? Comment now and in a few weeks you can be enjoying this creative calendar. Good luck!

  1. Cute calendars! My favorite month- I'd have to say December. 1) because of Christmas of course- always my favortie haoliday, and 2) I think we'll be having our little bundle of joy in December- so that will make the month even better!

  2. Well first of all I'm loving that Tan Perpetual Calendar. I'm so in awe of all the talented ladies out there in the blogosphere.
I have to say May is my fav month. Yes, my daughter was born in May and the Mr & I said our vows that month long, long ago. But I love it because May brings true promise of the beauty yet to come. I love the freshness in the air, sweet smells of budding blooms & the first fresh cut grass. Nothing like it.

  3. I love that calendar!! The obvious month for me would be December, due to Christmas and my birthday... but I have to say I love September! That's my anniversary month and it marks the beginning of my favorite season, Autumn!

  4. I'm in love with December! Why? Well because it's the holidays with all the smells and songs and decorations. Plus it starts to get just cold enough in the south to layer cute clothing and not be too cold. Email: julietran85@gmail.com

  5. I love November -- autumn has such a distinct smell and feel and it's at its height where I live in November. Plus, it's got Thanksgiving, the best holiday ever, and Christmas music is totally acceptable listening by this point in the year.

These calendars are awesome! It's definitely something I'd want to have on my desk, well, perpetually :)

  14. Cuteness! These are adorable!

My favorite months depends on where I am. Here in the US, it's December - I love how it's cold but not SUPER cold, and it's Christmas and my mum's birthday, and my birthday - it's a month of celebrations.

Back in Australia it wasn't December because it was TOO DARN HOT! I liked April there. The weather was pretty, perfect for relaxing with friends at the park or the beach.

  15. my favorite month is december...because with it comes family reunions, snuggling by the fire, peppermint tea, raucous laughter, children squealing, wrapping paper tearing, pies baking, candles glowing, snuggling by the fire, bellies full... peace.

  16. My favorite month is October. The weather has finally cooled down into fall. I love busting out my comfy sweaters and boots and being able to relax and enjoy time warming up with those I love. You can finally bake in the house without having to turn the thermostat down low and the holiday season hasn't yet begun, so I'm not feeling to stresed!

  17. My favourite month is September, there something so refreshing about Autumn, with the trees shedding crispy leaves and the start of a new academic year, which of course means brand new stationary. Its also my birthday month! I loved reading the comments above, how everyone's fav months was different, and th calendars are just lovely. A great giveaway and topic! :)

  18. Very cute calendars :O)

I love orange beautiful's paper goodness, too.

My favorite month is... October. Fabulous weather. The excitement of each of the upcoming holidays. The beauty of the season - yes, even here by the beach we have a little bit of fall color popping up. The smell of fires burning in fireplaces, and warmth and homemade spiced goodness filling up the air. Yup. Definitely October.

  19. My favorite month is November because of the weather (well, in Southern California at least), the holiday cheer in the air, and it's after Halloween (I don't like Halloween).

    ReplyDelete
  20. I definitely love October! Looks like it's a popular month! It's still warm enough to be outside and cool enough to get cozy in a sweater, the colors are amazing on all the trees, and I just always get this excited feeling that things are changing and it's time to look forward to a brand new season!

  22. February- It's the month with the most rain in my sunny little central CA town. Having grown up here during a decade of drought, I really enjoy the "rainy season" that we get in February and look forward to hearing the pitter patter of rain. Plus, February has Valentine's Day in it, who doesn’t love a month with a day devoted to chocolate?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would love to have this at my desk at work to spruce things up a bit!!

My favorite month is (i should say January because it is my birhtday month) but i will say September! It is full of change in the air with school starting for a brand new year and the leaves start to change it is a great time to "change" what you need to and a "fresh new start" kind of attitude that can come along with it.

  24. I'm a BIG fan of October!! What's not to LOVE? The weather starts getting cooler, but dryer (normally!), the leaves are changing, and it's the gateway to the holidays! Plus, it's my birthday month!

  26. My favorite month is always OCTOBER. I love the crunchy leaves under your feet, the wind whirling everything around and when the temperature is cool enough to make you break out your favorite Fall sweater and boots, but warm enough to still enjoy the outdoors. And lets not forget about HALLOWEEN!!!

  27. I think my favorite month is May. Winter has passed, hopefully no more rain and summer is on it's way.

  28. October is my favorite month. I love the colors of Fall and the crisp air in the morning. And curling up at home with hot coffee and warm blankets! The calenders are really cute. I would love one!

    ReplyDelete
  29. My favorite month is August, it is just so full of typical summer moments. Those lazy days of summer.

    What a great calendar!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I LOVE November! It is when it starts to feel like winter because it's getting cold but we still have the occasional nice day. It also means my birthday, Thanksgiving, the beginning of the holiday season and Christmas in the Sky (fireworks over a lake set to Christmas music)!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have to say that November is my favorite month of year. First, birthday month (given, right) Second, Nov 1st is the first day I get to put up Christmas decorations. My mom always made me wait until after Thanksgiving, but the first year I met my hubby (to-be then) he said I should put up a mini tree that day since I loved Christmas so much. That day turned ou to be Nov. 1st. We try to wait, but with two little guys, we have already planned to put up decorations next weekend! (Not that I haven't been eyeing every Christmas catalog for the past two weeks, or cruising the Target aisles yesterday...) I am crazy, but it is the happiest time of the year, no matter what is "going wrong or not so good" Christmas has always made my family happy. Why not extend it? I am a nut. I am giddy when it shows up in the stores super early. I have my Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby christmas cds stacked next to my stereo ready for this sunday. November is the beginning of the Holiday season - who couldn't be thankful of that?

  32. How wonderful! I'd have to say my favorite month of the year is April. I know it's supposed to be a rainy month but it just means that spring is in full bloom when the daffodils come alive. 34. What a lovely giveaway - I have the 2008 OrangeBeautiful calendar and am framing my favorite month from it - September! I love how summer winds down and autumn begins in this singular special month. September brings me: an excuse to treat myself to fresh pencils and paper goods (back to school sales aplenty), Honeycrisp apples coming into season, and sunset comes earlier and earlier with the golden light treating me to gorgeous views of the Chicago whilst I am squashed by my fellow commuters!. And last but not least, I just got married this September - 09-09-09 - my birthday, and now my anniversary!

  37. February is my favorite month because it contains my birthday and Abraham Lincoln's birthday, and Arsenio Hall's birthday, and Charles Darwin's birthday, and Christina Ricci's birthday. In fact, those are all on the same day. This month is also unique because it's the only month that can contain LEAP DAY! And it's the only month that's shorter than 30 days. And Valentines Day... I could go on and on but I just get thrilled when February arrives and I'm depressed when it's over.

  38. woo-hoo!!! i've been drooling over those calendars since emily released them...

lets see... my favorite month would have to be june. the weather is nearly perfect all month, it's that first taste of summer before it gets brutally hot, and being in chicago - it's exhilarating to put away the heavy jackets and scarves and lay around in shorts and a tank with the curtains blowing in the breeze. (this is making it very difficult to know that winter is right around the corner!)

August is my favorite month. It is my birthday month, and while that is always fabulous- it's just a great month in general. What I love most about August is that it is so NOT a transitional month. It's outright, steady and consistantly SUMMER. You just KNOW there are a few things on your summer "to-do" list that you'll get to check off that month. Some final vacations, back to school shopping, beach time, bon fires, sunsets... anything is possible. You feel happy (fully stocked up on your sun provided vitimain D). And hello- the August birth stone is the peridot. There isn't a more fabulous shade of green.

  85. June is my favorite month because it's probably the calmest month of the year, especially since our annual vacation takes place during it. Our long time friends spend a relaxing week together by the beach in what is probably the one week that I truly unplug and unwind. There aren't any birthdays or holidays. And on top of that, it's the prime blooming time for nature in Pennsylvania.

  86. I'm going to say August - which is odd because I much prefer autumn and winter to summer. August is like Thursday for me - it's not the actual weekend but it's close enough to be full of delicious anticipation. Autumn is coming and Christmas is close on it's heels. School supplies and plaid make a reappearance. Baking starts after the summer hiatus. And at the end of the month, my birthday. SO much to anticipate!

  87. this may sound like a little bit of a cop out, but ever since i was a child and read chicken soup with rice i've always loved to treasure things about each month.

January fills you with excitement over what the new year may bring.

February is the month of love with the perfect weather for snuggling up with cups of steaming cocoa.

March is often forlorned, with its harsh windy weather, but it makes you a stronger person for it, ready to appreciate the weather that comes...

in April, where the very first bits of spring pop out from the ground. the little bits of green from crocus, hyacinth, daffodils...snow turns back to rain and every once in awhile the wind from the south comes in with hints of the warmth of spring in its mist.

May is one of the most beautiful months where the smell of lilacs and peonies drift through the air.

June is always the most excitable month, where the kids get out of school & make a dash for the ice cream trucks, the berries and fruits of summer come alive, summer vacations abound, and, finally we shed those coats and sweaters.

July, where that dash into the pool or cold ice tea (or arnold palmer) is refreshing and cool, heats you up to the core, making your skin tingle in the sun.

August is the best month for grilling and outdoor picnics with fresh sweet corn and watermelon bountiful.

September is great because the kids go back to school, the parks empty out a bit, leaving room for bike rides and walks without the crowds. days are still warm, but its the perfect time to start wearing wraps in the evening.

October, the second most popular wedding month, has the most beautiful fall color changes, brisk evenings and days, and usually the fruits of frantic knitting abound and mix with apple cider and pie.

November includes some of my favorite days including both my & my husband's birthday, election day, always important for activists, and my favorite holiday Thanksgiving, where friends and family gather around delicious comforting food.

December is the perfect weather for holiday fetes with the backdrop of first gorgeous glistening snow.

  101. First days of...April! There is a fresh and chilly smell in the air that makes you excited! You know that something is going to happen. Every tree prepares to explode with green, flowers stop hiding in the ground, the sun starts to make your face warm, birds sing and you are filled with joy. The world is full of expectation... Ready, steady, go - spring!!!

  102. Great giveaway!! Usually I'm a spring and fall kind of girl, but in 2010, my favorite month will be February, when my son will be born!

  104. These are really neat calendars- I haven't seen any like them!

I'm definitely a Fall person- so October. I love the leaves changing, and it's also the start of football season- a big event in my house. (And since it's the start, I'm not tired of it yet!)

  105. Awesome giveaway! I love these calendars!

September is probably my most favorite month of all. It marks the beginning of football season, perfect weather for the beach or lake and signs of fall begin to pop up each week. It's like the end of summer and beginning of fall all wrapped into a few weeks.

  110. Hi! I simply love those little calendars, and that book is such a neat idea. My favorite month is October, simply because it's when Autumn really sets in, the leaves get crunchy and richly colored, and Halloween comes around...all the cute kids in their outfits make me laugh and remember that our communities are really what hold us together. 111. I love January. To me, the frigid air, bare trees and snowy days are a reminder of the nights my family used to spend sitting around our wood stove, talking and playing board games. January is a nostalgic month, but it always reminds me to enjoy the time I have with friends and family.

  112. December is my favorite month, I love the anticipation of the holiday, family, travel and gift giving. This calendar is done so beautifully and is so chic in presentation. I am swooning over the red design. Perfect for my desk at work.

  113. August. My birthday and my husbands birthdays are both in august (a week apart!) and I love nothing more than a good birthday celebration. I love that he makes the whole day, top to bottom, all about me and I do the same for him. I can't wait to do up birthdays big for my kids too one day. I've already got birthday tradition ideas swimming around in my head :).

  114. I'd have to say June is my favorite month. Not only does it signify "summer", but around here, it's pretty much spring, too! The flowers are really popping because the snow has finally melted away.

  115. August, without a doubt. Not only is it my birthday month, and I am one of those adults who refuses to give up the birthday hype, it reminds me of the start of school and all of the potential that always held.
