Friday Fun--My Confession

I am about to admit something about myself that may make you want to close this browser screen and never return. It will totally out me as a complete and total dork. Sigh. Here goes...I love cheesy game shows. There I said it! It feels good to come clean. It is true that I've actually watched the game show network...something only those who a. absolutely have no life or b. are over the age of 86 watch, given it was mostly background noise and there was nothing else on but I digress.

My top two favorite games shows of all time are: The Price Is Right and Family Feud. And coming in third is the game that disappeared off the face of the earth never to be seen again: SuperMarket Sweep. This little quirk of mine dates all the way back to my childhood (the 80s of course) when game shows were at their peak. I can remember loving them even back then. My sister and I would plot how we'd go on Supermarket Sweep and blow the competition away. And I still stand by that...I know we could have done it! To this day, I want to organize a team for Family Feud. I could carry the team, I asure you!

Imagine my surprise and total geek delight when I stumbled across this party. Oh yes, I have attended an 80s Prom party and hosted an Ugly Sweater Party but neither could compare to the coolness that is a Family Fued Party. O.M.G and it lights up. In the words of Rachel Zoe: "I die!"
Be sure to read their team names and click on the link to see their costumes. I LOVE it!

  3. I loved supermarket sweep. Seriously. And the Price is Right. If I was home sick as a kid I would fill my day with cheesy game shows. There was another one that involved shopping in various stores in a fake mall for the chance to ransack that mall if they won. Not sure of the name but on par with the supermarket sweep. Ok, who is the dork now?
